Curriculum Vitae:

“Salvemos al Fútbol” is a non-profit organisation whose objective is to fight against violence and corruption in the Argentinean Football. Half of their executive boards are family members of victims of episodes of violence in the Argentinean Football.

Mónica Nizzardo was a part of the Atlanta Football Club’s Board of Directors from 2002 until 2005, during which she also held the position of manager of their Press Department. According to journalistic investigations, Mónica is recognized as being the only person thus far, as a member of the board of directors of an Argentinean football club, to accuse and bring to court a violent hooligan member of her own team.
The lack of commitment from those responsible for the investigation, the lack of civic engagement on behalf of the football community, and the case ending up unfinished, were her motives to initiate the startup of ‘Salvemos al Fútbol’ in 2006. This organization would not be able to continue on without her courage and determination.

Mónica Nizzardo is a teacher and actor, and has successfully taken part in producing films. In 2004, she produced, directed, and screen wrote with Aníbal Garisto ‘Siglo Bohemio’ (Century bohemian) Atlanta Football Club’s History, and in 2006, ‘Te sigo a todas parte’s (I Follow You Everywhere), two films portraying the social, geographic, and cultural perspectives of football. From 2008-2009, Mónica was the Productions Manager of Pablo Tesoriere’s Fútbol-Violencia S.A. (Football Violence Public Limited Company).  This film tries to explain the origin and present of violence in football in Argentina. This documentary was declared of Parliamentary Interest by the Argentinean Congress and had many international accolades in festivals.
