Anders Hasselgaard (February 1. 1978) is a former professional football player in the Norwegian 'Premier League' from 1996-2004.
From 2007 to 2008 he was a Student Fellow at The Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI).
In 2008 he finished his Master in Political Science at University of Oslo.
Today Anders is a research assistant at the project “Sports and Reconciliation” at NUPI. The project is a cooperation between NUPI and The Rafto Foundation for Human Rights, Bergen.
His main research area is Norwegian “sport for development and peace”- projects and how Norwegian sports organizations, in cooperation with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has implemented these projects in different developing countries.
Anders has also been involved in the research that focuses Norwegian human rights organizations and their experiences from the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, a study which will be presented at Play the Game.
Anders will be presenting at Play the Game 2009 together with Sverre Chr. Wilhelmsen. |
