1) PLAY THE GAME 2005: SPEAKERS AND NEW BROCHURE
The 4th world communication conference on sport and society is shaping up. Already many distinguished speakers have confirmed their participation in the conference. Meet Adolf Ogi, Special Adviser to Kofi Annan on Sport for Development and Peace; investigative reporter Andrew Jennings; John Ghitongo, former Permanent Secretary for Governance and Ethics, Kenya, Sandro Donati, Head of Research, CONI, and many others.
We are in the process of sending out the conference brochure to everyone in our contact register. If you have not received one, you can download or order a copy from our website.
REMEMBER: You get a considerable discount if you register for the conference before 1 September.
2) PLAY THE GAME LAUNCHES REDESIGNED WEBSITE
Play the Game has opened a completely redesigned website. The site is key to our efforts to build networks and share knowledge about sport in society. Here you find our Knowledge Bank with articles about sport written by media professionals and academic experts. You can also keep yourself updated on the upcoming conference and explore the proceedings of earlier conferences.
3) TRAVEL GRANTS CLOSING DATE 25 JULY
Play the Game offers a limited amount of travel grants to our conference in November - primarily to people from third world countries. The closing date is getting near. If you want to apply, we must receive your application by 25 July 2005.
