In less than two months, the seventh edition of the world communications conference Play the Game 2011 starts and will present its most extensive programme yet. Benefit from the reduced fee by signing up before September 1.

A new version of the tentative conference programme has been released and new speakers have been added.

New on the speakers list is Wilfried Lemke, Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace, who will be one of the experts giving a speech at the conference running from 3-6 October.

The opening session of the conference will feature talks by IOC member Richard W. Pound and former Brazilian national footballer Raí Souza Viera de Oliveira, now social entrepreneur who will talk about his work in the organisation Gol de Letra.

This first session of the conference also presents Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Education, MEP Doris Pack sharing an insight on the EU sports policy.

Finally the main findings of the International Sports Press Survey carried out during this summer will be presented.

And this is just the first session of the conference.

Book your hotel now!
With Cologne being the biggest conference centre in northern Europe, hotel rooms are scarce and all delegates are strongly advised to book their accommodation as soon as possible in order to secure a place to stay during the conference.

Play the Game and the German Sport University have secured a limited number of rooms in the vicinity of the conference venue at a reduced price and a few of these are still available. Go to the Accommodation site to see the list of partner hotels.
