SVERRE CHR WILHELMSEN (b. 1957 in Norway), is creating conferences, seminars and meeting places in the crossing between researchers, activists and – often – artists.
He worked as a teacher and journalist in the 1980s, and was from 1989-99 Public Relations manager at the National Theatre in Bergen.
At Play the Game 2009 Wilhelmsen will moderate a session presenting results from a new research that focuses Norwegian human rights organizations and their experiences from the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
For the last two years he has coordinated the project “Sports and Reconciliation” together with the Andreas Selliaas and Anders Hasselgaard from The Norwegian Institute of International Affair (NUPI).
This project is a cooperation between NUPI in Oslo and the Bergen based Rafto Foundation for Human Rights. (See www.rafto.no)
