Profile (From the Danish Institute for Sports Studies)
Kasper Lund Kirkegaard is a Master in social sciences, cand.scient.adm. and doctoral fellow at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense.
He has previously worked in Gentofte Municipality as coordinator on the development of the municipality's sports politics.
Kasper Lund Lirkegaard has, at the Danish Institute for Sports Studies, been a project manager in the major analysis and identification of the commercial fitness sector during project titled 'Sweat to millions ". The project resulted in the summer of 2007 in two publications: a book about the Danish fitness sector story titled 'From muscle to mass movement' and a sector analysis in the report form with a wide range of figures on the fitness sector, entitled 'Overview of the Danish fitness sector '.
Kasper Lund Kirkegaard is also a frequently used lecture and guest speaker. He has in this connection both participated as speaker at scientific conferences on major commercial fitness and experience fairs and in various municipalities and sports orgainsations where the scientific material collected from the Danish Institute for Sports Studies' research will be seen from a sport political angle.
