Craig was appointed Chairman of the BOA in 1992 having previously been the Badminton representative on the National Olympic Committee.
Born in Stirling and now residing in Glasgow, Craig is married with two children.
Qualified as a lawyer, although he has never practiced, he is an independent Financial Adviser and Senior Partner with DL Bloomer & Partners in Glasgow.
Craig has been actively involved with the International Badminton Federation since becoming a Council Member in 1970, President from 1981-1984, Chairman of their Business Committee from 1984-1993 and their Technical Delegate in 1992 at Barcelona.
He was also a Council Member of the General Association of International Sports Federations from 1984-1992 and their Treasurer from 1990-1992.
Craig lists golf amongst his hobbies and is a member of the Western Gailes G.C., the Royal & Ancient G.C. and Ranfurly Castle G.C. where he was Captain in 1989. |
