MD, PhD. Ass professor and senior consultant in Internal and Emergency Medicine at Karolinska Hospital.
Former elite athlete and Olympian in kayakracing.
Among other thing research in the field of blood transfusions, erythropoietin, and their physiological and medical effects.
This research has lead to the development of methods to detect different types of blood doping.
Bo Berglund has been involved in the Swedish anti-doping programme since the beginning of the 1980s and also been involved internationally in International Canoe Federation.
Since 1995 Bo Berglund is the CMO of the Swedish Olympic Committee. |
