Ben has worked for almost six years at SportBusiness Group, working formerly as a journalist on the TV Sports Markets newsletter, the highly-acclaimed trade newspaper which covers the business of televised sport.
During the four years he worked on the newsletter, during which time he became assistant editor, he followed some of the biggest deals in Europe, particularly the UK, Germany and the Nordics in a wide range of sports including football, athletics, handball, skiing, ice hockey, tennis, golf and rugby union.
He now heads up the company’s research arm, using his expertise and knowledge of TV sports rights to help some of the major broadcasters and rights holders in the sports market with key market intelligence to help their business strategy as well as provide market entry strategies for new players.
Ben has also recently published some of the leading intelligence reports in the field of sports business, such as the European TV and Sports Rights 2008, the Future of Sports Marketing and SportBusiness in Numbers.
Ben is a big Aston Villa fan and hopes that despite this, he will be welcome in Coventry. |
