Chandrasekaran Velayutham holds a Master’s degree in Journalism & Communication from the University of Madras. He was awarded the British Chevening Scholarship in Broadcast Journalism by Cardiff University, Wales, UK in 2004.


He has eight years of professional experience in Television Journalism. He worked with Sun TV, a leading Tamil television channel, as a Special Correspondent and feature producer from 1998 to 2005 during which period he had taken up many national and international assignments.

 

In May 2006, he was offered the Royal Dutch Government fellowship to be a part of Training the Trainers Programme - an International Media Training Course conducted by RNTC, at Hilversum, The Netherlands. Currently he is working as Lecturer & Journalism Trainer in Department of Media Sciences, Anna University, Chennai teaching Television Journalism and Sports Reporting for Post-graduate students and also pursuing PhD in the area of Conflict and Media.
