Play the Game Conferences

Play the Game aims to strengthen the basic ethical values of sport and encourage democracy, transparency and freedom of expression in world sport. Our international conferences are a way to reach this goal.

The objective of the conference is to act as a forum for discussion of the ‘homeless’ questions in sports and is a part of influencing the international sports agenda.

Play the Game has so far hosted eight international conferences in 1997, 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013. The latest conferences have seen around 350 journalists, researchers and sport leaders from over 40 different countries.

The eight edition of the Play the Game world communication conference on sport and society was held in Aarhus, Denmark on 28-31 October 2013. Read more on the 2013 conference website.
