Play the Game aims to strengthen the basic ethical values of sport and encourage democracy, transparency and freedom of expression in world sport. Our international conferences are a way to reach this goal.
The objective of the conference is to act as a forum for discussion of the ‘homeless’ questions in sports and is a part of influencing the international sports agenda.
Play the Game has so far hosted seven international conferences in 1997, 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. The latest conferences have seen around 300 journalists, researchers and sport leaders from over 40 different countries.
The eight edition of the Play the Game world communication conference on sport and society will be held in 2013. A call for interest for potential conference partners and hosts has been issued. Read more
