Dr. Per Ståle Knardal has a Master of Music in performance from Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK, and a PhD in Management accounting and control from NTNU.
His research has mainly been related to analyses of management issues within sport and culture organizations. This involves topics such as the use of performance measurement systems in the performing arts, the design and use of budgets in cultural festivals as creative settings and challenges of using management control tools for handling financial risk in sports events.
