Academic Dean of Sport management, Business Academy Fresenius
Christian holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Cologne. He is Academic Dean of Sport Management at the Hochschule Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Cologne since 2015 and works as an independent consultant for the sports industry.
His professional experience in football began as the Assistant of the Board of Directors at 1. FC Köln. He served as CFO and Managing Director for club licensing at the DFL Deutsche Fussball Liga for ten years. At that time, he was the German representative in drafting UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules. Later, he was CEO of Dynamo Dresden. His main fields of academic interest are the “rat race” between clubs competing for the best players, organization and marketing of professional team sports, financial regulation and integrity of competition.
