Dr. Markus Seyfried
Markus Seyfried is Senior Research Fellow at the Chair for German Politics and Government at the University of Potsdam. He studied comparative politics, economics and statistics in Potsdam and was research assistant at the Center for Quality Development in Higher Education of the University of Potsdam. Since 2007 Markus Seyfried is scientific assistant of the Commission for the Assessment of Financial Requirements of Public Broadcasting Corporations (KEF, Prof. Jann). His research activities are focused on supreme audit institutions, quality assurance and evaluation in higher education, the measurement of formal independence and effectiveness of agencies, in particular the application of complex index models and multivariate analysis. Markus Seyfried participated in many research projects as data analyst and consultant on methodological issues. Since 2011 he is lecturer in the Master of Public Management program at Potsdam University and since 2015 in the Master of Public Administration at University of Kassel. In 2012 and 2013 he was part of the GIZ project Local Health Governance Strengthening Program (LHGSP) in Nepal. From 2012 until 2015, he participated in the GIZ project “Strengthening of Public Administration Education in Afghanistan”.
