Marius Sprenger studies Information Systems at the University of Münster, Germany and is a student assistent at the university's Institute of Business Administration and Organization, Personnel and Innovation. He conducts research in the field of agent-based modelling by developing computer simulations of various sports-related issues.
For the past 2 years he has been actively involved in the development of an "agent-based model" to help explain and prevent the phenomena of doping abuse in professional sports.
As part of his bachelor thesis he developed a first draft of a computer simulation to further investigate the uprising problem of match fixing, which will be extended and specified in the near future.
At "Play the Game 2017" he will talk about said computer simulation and the first analysis results it delivered.
