Edoardo Rosso

Edoardo G.F. Rosso is a social geographer with an interest in sport studies, sport development, coaching, physical activity and well-being, social capital, sport for development, sport geography, social exclusion and community development. His research looks at the interplay between psychosocial factors of sport participation/performance and the connection between sport/exercise and personal, community and social development. This refers, for example, to behaviour modification techniques in sport settings to perform academically, acquire life skills, adopt healthy lifestyles, increase physical activity levels, reduce social stress/anxiety and promote community cohesion. Edoardo is also a women’s football coach and has sucesfully coached girls and women at the school, club and state levels in South Australia since 2003.
