Frederik Munk is an Event Manager at Sport Event Denmark, a government based national sport event organisation with the main objective of attracting and hosting major international sports events and congresses. With expertise and know-how Sport Event Denmark offers Danish hosts advisory and agency services as well as vital financial support.

Frederik has worked for Sport Event Denmark since 2008 with the main responsibility of managing Denmark’s bid campaigns for major International sports events. Thus, Frederik is a key figure in Sport Event Denmark’s highly successful bid campaigns, having won more than 80 % of all bids.

Frederik has managed winning bids for a wide range of World Championships, European Championships, World Cups and International sports congresses; including UEFA EURO 2020 (co-host), IHF Men’s Handball World Championships 2019, IIHF World Ice Hockey Championships 2018, ISAF Sailing World Championship 2018, World Archery Championships 2015, BWF World Badminton Championships 2014, EHF Men’s Handball European Championship 2014 and FEI European Dressage and Jumping Championships 2013.

When managing the bid campaigns Frederik is responsible for tasks such as bid strategy, bid file, brochures, workshops, lobby campaign strategy, website, bid presentations, PowerPoint, video and speeches.

With regards to organising events, Frederik has been involved in the staging of app. 100 international sporting events, e.g. IOC Session & Congress 2009, WTF World Taekwondo Championships 2009, WTA Tennis Tour 2010-12, UEFA Under 21 European Championships 2011, FEI European Dressage and Jumping Championships 2013, BWF World Badminton Championships 2014, EHF Men’s Handball European Championship 2014 and European Tour Golf 2014+.
