Berit Skirstad

Berit Skirstad is Emerita Associate Professor at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences and was for most of the time responsible for the sport management study, which she founded in 1987.

From 2005 to 2009, she was the president of the European Sport Management Association and is now an honorary president. She is on the Editorial board of European Sport Management Quarterly.

Her research field is sports organizations, leadership and volunteers. Now she is in the steering group of an Erasmus + Project on New Age of Sport Management Education 2017-2019 (9 countries participating).

She has experience from being on boards in sport organizations both nationally and internationally.
